The concert was fantastic. Alex MacDonald, piano and Lucas Aleman, violin, brought a dynamic mix of pieces spanning over 100 years of composition to a crowd of around 100. The evening started with refreshments on the lawn under the trees, and the weather cooperated beautifully.
Blake Schwarz began the program by briefly describing his vision for the campus as a gathering place for a diverse community, similar to the watering holes where we as people as well as our wild kingdom neighbors may gather and interact. Unfortunately, such places are being lost in our culture, so it is important to both preserve the ones we have as well as incubate new ones. Further, Blake envisions equipping and supporting a new generation of church leaders prepared to share the Gospel in this 21st Century.
